She brought records.
Not financial.
Messages.
Three months before the reunion, Margaret texted Daniel.
Anna is making Noah weak.
You need to stop letting her control his diet.
Daniel answered.
The doctors say the allergy is serious.
Margaret replied.
Doctors say everything is serious now.
Then another conversation.
Margaret.
I gave you peanuts as a child.
Daniel.
Noah is not me.
Margaret.
Only because Anna tells him that.
Daniel never explicitly agreed to expose Noah.
That mattered.
But he knew his mother did not respect the allergy.
He knew.
And he still left Noah beside her dessert table.
