Chapter 9 – Hope's Dream

Years continued passing.

Hope entered high school with the same determination that had carried her through life since birth.

She volunteered at children's hospitals.

She organized charity drives.

She visited premature babies in the neonatal intensive care unit with handmade blankets.

One afternoon she stood beside the very incubator room where she had once fought for her own life.

A nervous young mother sat crying nearby.

Hope gently offered her a blanket.

"My mom says miracles don't always arrive the way we expect."

The woman smiled weakly.

"Were you ever here?"

Hope nodded.

"I was one of the tiny fighters."

The mother looked at her with renewed hope.

Sometimes survival became someone else's strength.
