Five years passed.

Hundreds of students graduated.
Many returned—not for money, but to mentor those following behind them.
One afternoon, Hannah Brooks walked into Evelyn's office.
Only now, she wore a tailored navy suit instead of the faded blue jacket.
"I received an offer."
"Congratulations."
"It's from New York."
Evelyn smiled.
"You should go."
Hannah looked uncertain.
"I was hoping you'd tell me to stay."
Evelyn stood and walked beside the window.
"When I was younger, I thought loyalty meant never leaving."
She shook her head.
"Real loyalty is carrying what you've learned wherever you go."
Hannah hugged her tightly.
"You changed my life."
Evelyn smiled.
"No."
"You did."
After Hannah left, Carter entered holding a newspaper.
The headline read:
AMERICA'S MOST TRUSTED BUSINESS LEADER OPENS NEW OPPORTUNITY INITIATIVE
He placed it on Evelyn's desk.
"You've become a symbol."
She looked at the headline before folding the paper closed.
"I'd rather become a reminder."
"A reminder of what?"
"That nobody gets to decide another person's worth."
Outside, dozens of scholarship recipients gathered for orientation.
