Richard pleaded guilty to fraud and conspiracy.
His cooperation reduced his sentence but did not erase it.
Marion pleaded guilty to asset concealment and obstruction.
Celeste received a reduced sentence after surrendering the archive and testifying.
The criminal trials lasted fourteen months.
Willow attended every day Lucas appeared in court.
Not because she wanted revenge.
Because she had spent five years looking away from what he was.
She would not look away from the truth.
Helena’s ballroom video opened the prosecution’s case.
The jury watched Lucas threaten Willow.
They watched the slap.
They heard the laughter.
Amanda testified about her marriage.
Claire testified about the previous generation.
Michael explained the stolen technology.
Denise Park described the company’s fraudulent filings.
Detective Brooks presented the assembly-plant rescue recording.
Lucas’s defense argued that the Sterling family environment had controlled him.
The prosecutor answered simply.
“An abusive father may explain what the defendant learned.”
“It does not explain away what he chose.”
Willow testified for two days.
Lucas watched her from the defense table.
His attorney asked whether she had benefited financially from the scandal.
“My company remained mine.”
“My father recovered rights that already belonged to him.”
“That is not benefiting from violence.”
“That is correcting theft.”
“Did you provoke Mr. Sterling by insulting his father?”
“I defended mine.”
“Did you refuse a direct request from your husband?”
“Yes.”
“Do you regret that?”
“No.”
The answer remained in the courtroom.
The jury convicted Lucas on every major charge.
At sentencing, he asked to speak.
He apologized for “the incident.”
Willow’s attorney objected to his refusal to name the assault.
The judge allowed him to continue.
Lucas claimed he lost everything because of one terrible moment.
Willow spoke afterward.
“The slap lasted less than one second.”
“The planning lasted years.”
“The financial coercion lasted years.”
“The isolation lasted years.”
“The lies lasted years.”
“You did not lose an empire because your hand moved once.”
“You lost it because the hand revealed what the empire had been protecting.”
Lucas received a lengthy prison sentence.
