Chapter 10 – A Legacy Greater Than Power

One year later.

The tower once known as Mercer Holdings looked completely different.

The company had been renamed.

Voss Global Foundation.

The upper floors no longer housed executive suites.

Instead, they contained startup incubators, scholarship offices, and legal clinics for entrepreneurs who couldn't afford representation.

Samuel walked beside Elena through the renovated lobby.

"You know the shareholders expected another billion-dollar acquisition."

"They'll survive."

"And what do you expect?"

Elena smiled.

"Something that lasts."

Outside, a group of university students toured the building.

None of them recognized the woman walking quietly through the hallway.

That was exactly how Elena preferred it.

Adrian approached carrying two cups of coffee.

"I've been thinking."

"Dangerous habit," Elena teased.

He laughed.

"You could finally put your name on the building."

She looked up at the polished glass entrance.

For a long moment, she said nothing.

Then she shook her head.

"Buildings don't need my name."

"They need my values."

As they walked away, workers carefully removed the final metal letters that once spelled MERCER.

In their place, a simple inscription appeared above the entrance:

Integrity Outlasts Power.

Across the street, people passed without stopping.

Business continued.

The city moved forward.

And for the first time since the long war had begun, Elena Voss did not feel like the richest woman in the world.

She felt something far more valuable.

She felt free.
