PART 6 — Lockout

It happened in less than seven minutes.

Legal vote.

Emergency board motion.

Asset freeze authorization.

Security override.

Julian tried to speak twice.

No one listened.

Not anymore.

His access card stopped working first.

Then his office credentials.

Then his company email.

Then his private banking portal.

One by one.

Systems rejecting him like he no longer existed.

By the time he reached the elevator, security was already waiting.

“Sir,” the guard said carefully, “you’re no longer authorized on this floor.”

Julian stared.

“That’s my company.”

The guard didn’t respond.

Because it wasn’t.

Not anymore.

FINAL CHAPTER — The Life He Lost

That night, Serena stood in Lily’s room.

Her daughter was finally asleep.

Peaceful.

Safe.

Serena gently adjusted the blanket.

Then she whispered:

“You will never grow up thinking love looks like that.”

Behind her, her phone lit up again.

One final message from Julian.

“You destroyed everything.”

Serena read it once.

Then placed the phone face down.

She replied only once:

“No.”

“You did that the moment you raised your hand.”

She turned off the light.

And for the first time in years…

May you like

The silence didn’t hurt anymore.

It felt like freedom.
