Julian came to the police station voluntarily.
His wife, Serena, accompanied him.
He admitted using William’s password.
Two years earlier, Isabella asked him to approve emergency foundation transfers while William was abroad.
She said the money would prevent closure of several children’s shelters.
Julian signed without reviewing the receiving companies.
“I believed her,” he said.
Detective Ortiz leaned forward.
“Did you receive anything?”
“No.”
Serena looked down.
Julian noticed.
“What?”
She opened her handbag.
Inside was a bank statement.
A shell company connected to the foundation had paid off the mortgage on their home.
Julian stared at her.
“I did not know.”
Serena began crying.
“Your mother said it was an early inheritance.”
“When?”
“Three weeks after the transfers.”
Julian pressed both hands against his face.
Isabella rarely asked people to commit obvious crimes.
She gave gifts after convenient mistakes.
Gratitude finished what deception began.
Detective Ortiz asked whether Julian knew about Ethan’s chamber.
“No.”
“Did you know Isabella wanted him declared incompetent?”
Julian hesitated.
“She said Ethan needed long-term treatment.”
“Did you question why?”
“She showed me videos.”
The videos depicted Ethan screaming, striking walls, and throwing objects.
William had seen some too.
The blue-room evidence revealed they were edited.
In the full footage, Isabella provoked him before every outburst.
She destroyed Claire’s photograph.
She locked his bedroom.
She told him his father wanted a new child.
Then cameras recorded only his reaction.
A frightened child became evidence against himself.
Julian provided access to his private messages.
One conversation with Isabella stood out.
If William fails to act, the board will need someone stable.
Julian replied.
I will help Ethan, but I will not remove William.
Isabella answered.

She had prepared both brothers for the same outcome.
William would be declared emotionally compromised after Ethan’s disappearance.
Julian would assume temporary control of the company.
Isabella would control Julian through the mortgage and foundation payments.
The chamber was not only punishment.
