Chapter 4 – Justice Has a Name

The following morning, attorneys arrived at the mansion.
The daughter-in-law assumed they were there to smooth everything over.
Instead, Mr. Rivera handed her a folder.
Inside were divorce papers prepared for his son, documents removing her from every family trust, and a formal complaint for filing a false criminal accusation.
She stared at him in disbelief.
"You can't be serious."
"I've never been more serious in my life."
She turned toward her husband.
"Say something!"
He looked at the security footage one final time before answering.
"I married someone I thought had integrity."
He quietly removed his wedding ring and placed it on the table.
"But the woman in that video... isn't the person I promised forever."
