His family called again, this time not to defend him—but to understand how everything had collapsed so fast.

But there was nothing to explain anymore.

And I had seen mine clearly.

Later that day, I met the wedding planner again.

“We can reschedule,” she offered gently.

“There’s nothing to reschedule.”
