Victoria’s lawyers blamed Edmund.
Edmund’s representatives blamed Victoria.
Sebastian sent documents blaming Bellamy.
Bellamy claimed he followed client instructions.
Rowe remained missing.
The Ashbourne system finally did what corrupt systems do when protection disappears.
It ate itself.
Victoria requested a deal.
She offered Sebastian’s offshore accounts.
Investigators listened.
They did not promise immunity.
Edmund’s European counsel contacted federal authorities.
He offered testimony against Victoria if allowed to return under negotiated conditions.
Adrian laughed when he heard.
“My parents are negotiating against each other.”
Catherine did not laugh.
“They always did.”
“What?”
“They just usually used us instead.”
That sentence changed Adrian.
He had spent his childhood believing his parents were united.
Catherine understood earlier.

His accounts had been frozen.

Distress was not proof the conspiracy was imaginary.

Everything after that became intentional.
He had treated a mother for refusing to believe a lie he personally knew was false.
Catherine listened to the confession once.
Then turned it off.
“I don’t want his apology.”
Nobody asked her to.
Trustees issued preliminary findings.
Victoria’s beneficial interest was suspended.
Edmund’s suspended.
Sebastian’s suspended.
Adrian’s remained under review because of his signature.
He did not object.
Then they announced something unexpected.
If the conduct clause was fully triggered, more than $2.6 billion could leave the family trust and move into independent charitable control.
The gala had been advertised as raising fifteen million dollars for children.
The family could lose billions because one child behind a wall finally screamed loudly enough to be heard.
That irony hit every newspaper.
Then Victoria asked to see me.
I refused.
She sent a letter.
You think you saved Lily.
You have only destroyed what was meant to protect all of you.
