The sharp crash of breaking glass wasn't just a sound; it was the violent end of Victoria’s reign.

Julian had picked up a heavy crystal decanter from the console table and hurled it against the marble wall mere inches from Victoria’s head. The shards rained down around her, a physical manifestation of his fury.

"Julian, wait! I can explain—" Victoria stammered, the color draining from her face, leaving her starkly pale against her crimson dress.

He didn't even look at her. Julian dropped to his knees, ignoring the expensive fabric of his suit soaking up the cold chill of the floor. His massive, trembling hands hovered over the pregnant woman before gently framing her tear-streaked face.

"Elara," he choked out, his voice cracking with an emotion no one in the room had ever heard from the ruthless billionaire. "I found you. I finally found you."

Elara whimpered, her bruised hand still cradling her swollen belly. "They told me you were dead, Julian. They told me you died in the crash, and that this house..." She looked up at the terrified onlookers. "They said I had nothing left."

Julian’s eyes darkened, turning from a relieved husband into a lethal predator. He slowly turned his head to look at Victoria, who was now backing toward the door, her gold stilettos slipping on the polished floor. For six months, while he was in a coma and subsequent intense rehabilitation overseas, his ambitious step-sister Victoria had seized his assets, faked his death certificate locally, and thrown his pregnant, secret wife onto the streets.
