CHAPTER 3 — THE FALL OF EVERYTHING

Security moved toward the stage.
Guests stood up. Chairs scraped. Murmurs turned into panic.
But the truth had already taken center stage.
The recording continued—detailing lies, manipulation, and a disappearance that had never been investigated properly.
And the boy…
He just stood there.
Holding his mother’s hand.
Watching the man he once called “family” become something unrecognizable.
Caleb tried to move toward them.
But stopped when the bride raised her voice.
“Don’t you dare come closer.”
Her voice was shaking now—not from fear, but realization.
“You used me,” she said. “All of this… was built on her disappearance.”
Sirens began to echo faintly outside.
Someone had called the police.
Caleb looked around the hall—at the guests, the cameras, the collapsing reputation he had spent years polishing.
For the first time, there was no escape route left.
The woman stepped forward.
“This isn’t revenge,” she said softly. “This is truth.”
Caleb laughed once—empty, broken.
And then he whispered something no one expected:
“You think this is the only secret in this family?”
Silence returned instantly.
The boy tightened his grip on his mother’s hand.
The bride slowly turned her head toward the locked doors behind the stage.
As if realizing…
The real truth had not even been revealed yet.
But before anyone could speak again—
The doors burst open.
