CHAPTER 4 — THE CANCELLATION OF EVERYTHING

The groom stood and handed her a black folder.
She opened it without haste.
Flipped one page.
Then another.
Her expression did not change.
But the temperature of the room did.
“The wedding is canceled,” she said calmly.
The bride’s voice broke. “You can’t do that—this is my day!”
The maid looked at her.
“It was never yours.”
She turned slightly.
To the mother.
“And your funding for this estate renovation project… is revoked.”
The mother froze.
The groom added quietly, “Chairwoman controls 73% of this property group.”
The silence became unbearable.
The maid closed the folder.
“Refund all investments within 72 hours,” she said. “Or legal enforcement begins.”
She turned away.
No anger.
No satisfaction.
Only completion.
As she walked out of the mansion, the bride finally collapsed into the chair she once used to look down on others.
For the first time, she understood something.

May you like
And the maid had never been invisible.
She had only been waiting.
