Chapter 4 — When Truth Wins
Six months later, the mansion was no longer cold.
The marble courtyard was filled with sunlight.
The pool had been covered and rebuilt into a rose garden because Emma never wanted to see that water again.
Christopher understood.
Some wounds did not need to be explained.
They only needed time, love, and safety.
Juliette accepted a plea deal and spent the rest of her days behind prison walls.

At the opening ceremony, Emma wore a soft yellow dress and held a ribbon with both hands.
Reporters shouted questions.
Christopher ignored them all.
He knelt beside his daughter.
“Ready?”
Emma smiled.
This time, it reached her eyes.
“Ready.”

The crowd applauded.
