Chapter 3 — The Fall of Margaret Hale

The next day, every major news channel carried the story.

Billionaire Heiress Nearly Drowned In Mansion Pool.

Stepmother And Grandmother Accused In Murder Plot.

Margaret Hale’s perfect public image collapsed in hours.

The charity boards removed her.

The museum canceled her gala.

Her friends stopped answering.

Juliette tried to save herself by blaming Margaret.

Margaret tried to save herself by blaming Juliette.

But Christopher had everything.

The hidden recording.

The security footage.

The trust documents.

The deleted messages recovered from Juliette’s phone.

And one final piece of evidence nobody expected.

Emma’s nanny had seen Juliette lead the little girl toward the pool.

She had been afraid to speak.

Until Christopher promised protection.

At the courthouse, Juliette arrived first, shaking.

Margaret arrived behind her, dressed in black, still pretending to be untouchable.

Christopher walked in carrying Emma in his arms.

The courtroom went silent.

Emma looked small.

Too small for the cruelty surrounding her.

The judge watched the video.

Juliette pushing Emma.

Margaret watching from the balcony.

No screams.

No panic.

Only waiting.

When the footage ended, even the judge looked shaken.

Margaret finally lost her mask.

“She was never supposed to survive,” she hissed.

The courtroom erupted.

Christopher covered Emma’s ears.

But Emma had already heard enough.

She looked at her father and whispered, “Daddy… can we go home?”

Christopher kissed her forehead.

“Yes, sweetheart.”

Then he looked at Margaret one last time.

“But they never will.”
