Chapter 3: The Fall Everyone Witnessed

News spread through the hotel faster than fire.
Employees gathered discreetly near the lobby.
Guests pretended to check their phones while secretly watching.
No one wanted to leave.
They were witnessing the collapse of a man who had always believed himself untouchable.
Marcus looked desperately from one familiar face to another.
His executive assistant lowered her eyes.
The security chief stepped away from him.
Even Sophia quietly backed toward the elevators.
"Don't leave," Marcus whispered.
She forced an awkward smile.
"I... I don't think I belong here anymore."
She disappeared before he could answer.
Marcus was suddenly alone.
The same employees who had once rushed to obey him now stood behind Isabella.
Not because they feared her.
Because they respected her.
Isabella accepted a leather folder from the company's legal director.
"Mr. Weston."
She spoke with quiet professionalism.
"Effective immediately, your employment agreement has been terminated."
He stared at her.
"You can't fire your husband."
"I'm not firing my husband."
She looked at the wedding ring still resting on her finger.
"I'm removing an executive who violated corporate policy, abused company resources, and exposed Castle Hospitality Group to significant legal liability."
She slowly slipped off the ring.
Placed it inside the folder.
"Our marriage will be handled separately."
The simple gesture hurt Marcus more than any insult.
"You still love me," he said desperately.
"You wouldn't do this otherwise."
She smiled sadly.
"I loved the man I thought you were."
A pause.
"He disappeared long before tonight."
Alexander stepped forward.
"Security."
Two officers approached.
Marcus instinctively took a step backward.
"No..."
"You can't escort me out."
The senior officer spoke politely.
"Mr. Weston..."
"Please surrender your company devices."
"My office—"
"No longer belongs to you."
"My apartment—"
"Company residence."
"My accounts—"
"Corporate expense accounts have already been suspended."
Every sentence stripped away another piece of the life he believed was his.
One by one...
The doors closed.
Exactly as they had closed behind Isabella.
Only now...
There was no one left willing to open them for him.
As Marcus walked through the lobby carrying nothing but a cardboard box containing his personal belongings, every employee quietly watched.
Nobody laughed.
Nobody mocked him.
Silence proved far more devastating than humiliation.
Outside, reporters had already begun gathering.
Camera flashes exploded.
"Mr. Weston!"
"Were you removed by your wife?"
"Is it true she owns the company?"
"Did you misuse corporate authority?"
Marcus lowered his head.
May you like
For the first time in his career...
He had no speech.
