Chapter 3: The Camera No One Remembered

Police detectives sealed off the estate within the hour.
The poisoned milk was rushed to the crime lab.
The results were horrifying.
A fast-acting neurotoxin had been mixed into the formula—strong enough to stop an infant's breathing within minutes.
Someone hadn't wanted the baby sick.
Someone wanted him dead.
Detective Ryan Brooks requested footage from every security camera inside the mansion.
Most of them showed nothing unusual.
Until Clara quietly spoke.
"There was one more camera."
Everyone looked at her.
"The old nanny camera."
Emma blinked.
"I forgot we never removed it."
The tiny camera hidden inside a stuffed teddy bear had continued recording for months.
When the footage appeared on the television, the room went silent.
Margaret was seen preparing the bottle exactly as she claimed.
She kissed her grandson on the forehead before walking away to answer a phone call.
Thirty-eight seconds later...
A woman wearing black gloves entered the nursery kitchen.
She calmly emptied the bottle.
Pulled a small glass vial from her sleeve.
Mixed something into the formula.
Then smiled.
She wasn't a stranger.

She was Olivia.
Emma's younger sister.
