The ballroom lights dimmed.

A single projection appeared behind me.

A recording.

Security footage.

The moment he had shoved me into the marble wall.

But it didn’t stop there.

Another clip.

Another victim.

Then another.

Each one carefully documented.

Silenced.

Covered.

Paid off.

The guests stopped breathing.

Someone whispered, “This isn’t the first time…”

The heir shook his head violently.

“No—turn it off—this is private—this is—”

“This is evidence,” I corrected him.

And then I said the sentence that ended him:

May you like

“You didn’t attack a random woman tonight.”

“You attacked the one person who had already documented you.”
