Cassian did not wage war with bullets first.
He used truth.
Within forty-eight hours, evidence began appearing anonymously.
Financial crimes.
Witness testimonies.
Photographs.
Secret recordings.
Victims who had been too terrified to speak finally came forward.
Gideon's empire collapsed piece by piece.
Desperate, he chose one final gamble.
He came personally to the Voss estate.
"I only want Saraphina," Gideon shouted through the gates.
Cassian stepped outside alone.
"You'll have to go through me."
Gideon laughed.
"You think she loves you?"
Cassian replied calmly,
"I don't need her to."
"I only need her to know she's safe."
The fight lasted less than two minutes.
Gideon drew a knife.
Cassian disarmed him.
Security surrounded the property.
Police arrived moments later—with enough evidence to arrest Gideon permanently.
As officers led him away, Gideon screamed toward Saraphina.
"You'll never forget me!"
She walked to the gate.
Looked him directly in the eyes.
"I already have."
