The officers entered silently.
No chaos now—only procedure.
Nicolás was escorted forward, resisting, shouting, breaking down piece by piece as the truth around him became undeniable.
As he passed Valeria, he stopped.
His voice dropped to a whisper.
“You planned all of this… from the beginning?”
Valeria looked at him one last time.
“No,” she said.
“You just made it necessary.”
He was taken away.
The doors remained open now.
The gala guests slowly began to leave—silent, shaken, avoiding eye contact with the woman who had turned a celebration into a courtroom without walls.
Valeria stood alone beneath the chandeliers.

She didn’t smile.

She simply turned off the phone.
And walked out into the night air waiting beyond the mansion doors.
