CHAPTER 3 The Woman Who Stole Everything

Vivian knew the game was over.
She could see it in Henry's eyes.
The trust was gone.
The love was gone.
Only questions remained.
Dangerous questions.
"What did you do?" Henry asked.
Vivian forced a smile.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Then explain."
His voice was ice.
"Explain how Grace disappeared."
Silence.
Margaret suddenly spoke.
"I already did."
Everyone turned.
The older woman placed a folder on the table.
Private investigation reports.
Phone records.
Bank transfers.
Security footage.
Evidence collected quietly over months.
Margaret had never trusted Vivian.
Now she knew why.
The truth unfolded piece by piece.
Three years earlier, Grace had been pregnant.
Vivian learned about it.
Terrified that Henry would marry Grace instead of her, she paid someone to intercept Grace on the way to the hospital.
Grace was drugged.
Her phone destroyed.
Her records altered.
After Noah was born, Vivian arranged for Grace to be told her baby had died.
At the same time, Henry was told Grace had abandoned him.
Two broken hearts.
One stolen child.
One carefully planned lie.
The room erupted.
Henry slammed his fist against the table.
"You stole three years from us."
Vivian began crying.
Begging.
Apologizing.
But nobody listened.
Especially Noah.
The little boy climbed into Grace's lap.
Wrapped his arms around her neck.
And refused to let go.
Security escorted Vivian out of Whitmore House that night.
As the doors closed behind her, she looked back one final time.
Nobody followed.
Nobody stopped her.
Because for the first time in years...
May you like
The Whitmore family could finally see the truth.
And the truth had no place for Vivian Blackwood.
