Chapter 1: The Moment Everything Broke

The wedding hall shimmered under golden chandeliers, every surface polished to perfection, every guest smiling like they were part of a dream.

Lillian stood at the center of it all—beautiful, composed, untouchable.

Daniel, her fiancé, lifted a crystal glass of orange juice, unaware of the storm forming just a few steps away.

Sara, the maid, moved faster than anyone noticed.

“Don’t drink it,” she whispered, grabbing his wrist.

The glass slipped from Daniel’s hand—but Sara caught it before it hit the floor.

Silence fell like a curtain.

Lillian turned slowly.

And then—slap.

The sound cracked through the hall.

Sara’s face turned with the force, but she didn’t fall.

She only blinked once.

Daniel froze.

“What is going on?” he asked, confusion rising in his voice.

Lillian smiled—but it didn’t reach her eyes.

“It’s just a misunderstanding,” she said softly.
