Celeste pleaded guilty.
Her cooperation prevented a life sentence, but she still received twenty-seven years.
Grant refused every offer.
At trial, he claimed Alexander invented the conspiracy to protect his company.
Then prosecutors played Rebecca’s recordings.
The courtroom heard Grant discussing her car.
It heard him ordering Lily’s medication removed.

“Then why stay?”
“Because leaving would have been easier for me and fatal for Lily.”
Daniel testified next.

Alexander was the final witness.

Alexander looked toward Maya and Lily.
“They should not believe me because of my name.”
“They should believe the recordings.”
“They should believe the bank records.”
“They should believe the woman who protected my daughter when I failed to do it.”
Grant was convicted on every major charge.
He received life imprisonment without parole.
