CHAPTER 4: KARMA ARRIVES

Three months later, Noah sat alone in a tiny apartment.

The silence was unbearable.

No wife.

No daughter.

No family dinners.

Nothing.

Then someone knocked.

He opened the door.

Claire stood there.

Holding a baby.

For one brief second, Noah smiled.

Then Claire handed him an envelope.

"What is this?"

"The DNA results."

His smile faded.

Noah opened it.

And froze.

NOT THE FATHER.

The words blurred before his eyes.

"What?"

Claire looked away.

Tears filled her eyes.

"I found out two weeks ago."

Noah felt the floor disappear beneath him.

"The baby isn't mine?"

"No."

Everything he had destroyed his family for...

Had been a lie.

Claire quietly walked away.

The baby in her arms never looked back.

A few days later, Noah sat alone in a park.

Across the street he saw Ava and Lily laughing together.

For the first time in years, they looked happy.

Healthy.

Free.

Noah started walking toward them.

Then he stopped.

Lily saw him.

Their eyes met.

For a moment, Noah hoped she might smile.

She didn't.

Instead, she turned away and continued walking with her mother.

As if he were a stranger.

Because now he was.

Ava never remarried.

She rebuilt her life, started her own business, and found peace she hadn't felt in years.

Lily graduated with honors and left for college.

Together, they created a future without betrayal.

And Noah?

He spent the rest of his life remembering the day he traded everything that mattered for something that was never his.

Because sometimes karma doesn't arrive with revenge.

Sometimes it arrives with consequences.

May you like

And those consequences last forever.

THE END.
